Well it took me a long time to decide how to make my bags.
I gave this lots of thought. Most likely too much thought.
But I wanted this to be something I knew I would enjoy doing 12 times.
I am determined (call me insane) to catch up. Anyway, I finished the first one.
I call it January Night Sky. I love the night sky in the winter, it always seems so clear and I always feel so clear and clean standing there looking up at it.
The stars sparkling, the world around me seems to grow quiet no matter where I am.
So that is why a sky for Jan.
To make the bag I chose my cloth fabric. It was pieces from a piece I still have to finish from July. Shame on me. I know.
I put the sides together with beads which is how I plan to do them all. I like that technique. Then I just started letting it tell me where to put more beads and stars.
I am adding a picture of the bag and then a view of the top.
I am calling these Vessel Bags.

This is a wonderful idea, Sunni! And I have no doubt that you will have all 12 of them done by the end of the BJP project. Love the January Sky idea . . .

The pictures on your previous post came through for me fine, as do these... your bags are a wonderful idea!!!!
This turned out really nice. I couldn't quite see how you joined them with the beads. Almost looks as if you overcast the edges together. I think you will be real happy with your collection of 12 bead journal vessel bags.
By the way, I could see your posting on the main BJP page.
Ohmygosh!! I just *knew* it was going to be gorgeous!! :-)
Beautiful design. It was worth the wait to see them.

I couldn't see the bag on the original post, I'm so glad you decided to repost January Sky is wonderful. A terrific and unique idea for your BJP pieces.
Thank you all for such sweet comments.
I hope to have lots more to show soon.
